3 days in a scorching 30 degree heat
In this Texas heat you needed sun block factor 25 and copious amounts of water. This year's high points were the extremely high quality cars and a successful shifting of the meet days to Thursday thru Saturday. Largely due to the high number of visitors on Friday, this year's Big Meet was the largest ever. A day which fittingly ended with a hail storm in true Texan style! At Big Meet, almost everything is like in the U.S.A.

The high point of summer
It takes a lot of people to make Big Meet possible. But it is rewarding to see how many people make the pilgrimage to Västerås each year, and how the people of the city line the streets to watch and enjoy their visitors and their cars.

Also, this year Power Big Meet was host to Sweden's most popular TV chef, Tina Nordström, who recorded an episode of her show at the swap meet.

An unparalleled swap meet
A good mix of vendors from eight different countries lined the swap meet this year, though the weather was a bit too hot for shopping. The best vendor display was awarded Benny Järudd, who brought about 15 cars (see top right picture).

Results of the judgements
Being one of the judges at Big Meet is a tough task. This year it was almost hopelessly difficult. Erik Nilsson got Best in Show for his Cadillac Eldorado Cabriolet from 1959. Long distance went to Tapio Piitulainen from Australia.
